GSPro vs E6 Connect (2026): Which Simulator Software Should You Buy?

If you play on a Windows gaming PC, GSPro is the better buy for most home simulator owners in 2026. Before comparing, know that “E6” now means two products. E6 Connect is TruGolf’s older PC and iPad app, which some launch monitors still bundle. E6 (2026), formerly E6 Apex, is its Windows-only successor.

In a Nutshell

For most home simulator owners with a Windows gaming PC, GSPro is the better buy: one $250-a-year plan, 2,500+ community-built courses and ball physics that owners and reviewers praise. Pick E6 Connect if it came with your launch monitor or you play from an iPad, and E6 (2026) for its graphics and practice tools on a strong PC.

👉 Check your launch monitor before you check courses: some brands need their own paid plan before GSPro will connect, and E6 (2026) doesn’t name every brand.

Jargon, once:

  • GSPro — Windows simulator software that turns your launch monitor’s shot data into golf on a screen.
  • Connector — the link that sends shots from a launch monitor into the software.
  • On-demand courses — courses E6 builds automatically with AI.
  • GPU — the graphics card, which decides how smoothly courses run.

First, Which E6? Connect vs E6 (2026, Formerly Apex)

  • E6 Connect is TruGolf’s “previous-generation platform, still widely used at commercial facilities.” It runs on a Windows PC or an iPad, and some launch monitors ship with a starter license.
  • E6 (2026), launched as E6 Apex in March 2024, is what TruGolf calls “the recommended choice for individual golfers and home simulator setups focused on game improvement.” It runs on Windows only, in three plans.
  • Why reviews of “E6” can mislead: complaints split across both. Connect owners and reviewers describe crashes, thin course lists and leaving for GSPro; Apex-era owners describe lag and long-delayed features. Check which one a review means.

What’s Changed Since 2024

  • 1 October 2026: GSPro’s public beta moved to what it calls “GSPro Physics 2.0.” It is a beta, so treat the results as unproven.
  • 24 June 2026: a GSPro public beta added support for the Square Omni launch monitor.
  • 30 October 2025: the end date 2K announced for The Golf Club 2019’s online modes and store.
  • March 2024: TruGolf launched E6 Apex, now sold as E6 (2026).

What Each Costs per Year

Cheapest first. GSPro is one price; E6 depends on the product and, on iPad, on your launch monitor’s brand.

GSPro sells one plan, and its lifetime add-on is no longer offered, though existing lifetime licenses keep working. Owners and reviewers single out its price as good value (14 reports from 12 owners and reviewers).

Owners split on E6 (2026) pricing: some call the plans expensive and confusing next to GSPro, others fair. TruGolf’s page still mixes old and new plan names, so read the details before paying. Its shop lists the $1,000 Home license; a Uneekor Home license is priced behind a login.

Some launch-monitor makers charge their own fee before GSPro will connect. One worked example:

  • $250 GSPro + $199 Uneekor Pro plan = $449 a year.

The other makers’ plans are in the launch-monitor table below.

PC, iPad or Mac?

  • Windows PC: needed for GSPro and E6 (2026). GSPro asks for an RTX 3060-class graphics card and 16GB RAM for smooth 1080p; E6 (2026) asks for more. Some Apex-era owners canceled over its demands.
  • Older GPUs: owners report GSPro running on GTX 1050 to 1070-class cards (16 reports from 15 owners, 2022–2025), though detailed new courses need far more. One owner says $700 deters many from trying GSPro; another runs it on a $350 used gaming PC.
  • iPad: E6 Connect, not GSPro. The App Store listing asks for an iPad Pro Gen. 1 or newer and says “M1 devices are not supported,” so check your model. Owners and reviewers through early 2023 rate the iPad graphics noticeably below the PC version, and iPads can overheat over long rounds.
  • Mac: no official route for either. No E6 page checked mentions Mac. Some Mac owners run GSPro through CrossOver, which runs Windows programs on a Mac; it is unsupported, with mixed results.

Courses: 2,500 Community Builds vs 15,000 On-Demand

  • GSPro: 2,500+ user-created courses plus official courses, downloaded through its course server. Owners and reviewers see its course selection as a clear edge over E6 Connect (16 reports from 10 owners and reviewers, 2022–2025). If a local course hasn’t been built, owners say hiring a designer costs about $750 to $4,000 (one 2026 poster says $1,000 to $8,000), and one owner says some designers sell exclusive courses.
  • E6 (2026): “over 15,000 4K-rendered golf courses,” generated on demand. Owners report patchy US coverage and less scenery detail than hand-built courses; one owner says the on-demand list covers North America only.
  • E6 Connect: 27 courses on the Uneekor, Foresight and Garmin R10 Standard licenses, and fewer in some bundles. Owners and reviewers call the selection limited and repetitive.

One owner who pays for both explains the trade:

GSPro’s page still lists FSX 2020 or FSX Play for Foresight units. But Foresight’s and Bushnell’s pages say GSPro needs a Foresight+ Gold plan, and Foresight says existing FSX licenses keep working. SkyTrak owners reach GSPro only through unofficial connectors, and TruGolf APOGEE owners through a community-built bridge (13 reports from 12 owners).

The split is physics against looks, and GSPro’s new physics is still in beta. On E6 (2026), the strongest praise is visual, and the same owner, then on an E6 Apex trial, put it this way:

“Apex’s graphics are superior to GSPro when it comes to their featured courses.” (u/SA19030, 2026-03-17)

Owners whose launch monitor can’t putt, such as the Garmin R10 or MLM2PRO, often add webcam putting through a community-built connector, according to owner posts; GSPro’s own R10 guide points to its auto-putt modes.

Putting in a Golf Simulator: What Actually Works (2026)

For leagues and tournaments, GSPro is the default among serious players (6 reports from 6 owners and reviewers).

Stability and Setup Hassle

  • E6 (2026), formerly Apex: owners reported lag, dropped frames and a 30fps cap (23 reports from 12 owners, March 2024 to December 2025). A few with powerful PCs saw none. In February 2026, two trial users canceled over misplaced trees and tee boxes.
  • E6 Connect: some owners report crashes or freezes, often near the green (2023–2025); others report no trouble. Logging in again every session annoys some.
  • GSPro: stalled or failed course downloads are the usual hassle, with known fixes such as running it as administrator. Crashes, often after updates, were usually traced to hardware; the latest report is from July 2025. It needs an internet connection at every start to check the license.

Which Should You Buy?

Owners who left E6 Connect for GSPro often wish they had switched sooner (7 reports from 4 owners). An owner who moved from E6 to GSPro wrote:

“My biggest regret that I had in moving from e6 to GSPro is that I didn’t do it sooner.” (u/Fragrant-Report-6411, 2026-02-12)

  • Windows gaming PC and a GSPro-listed launch monitor: GSPro.
  • iPad only, or no gaming PC: E6 Connect, or Awesome Golf (below).
  • Your launch monitor came with E6: start there, then add GSPro when you want more courses or realism.
  • Beginner or family, casual play: owners find an iPad app good enough for range sessions; GSPro is the step up.
  • Strong PC, want looks and practice tools: E6 (2026) Enjoy ($450) for courses plus practice, Play ($300) for courses only, Improve ($150) for practice tools only. Check your monitor is named first.
  • Local course missing on GSPro: check E6’s on-demand list.
  • SkyTrak owner: SkyTrak’s own software, or an unofficial GSPro connector.
  • Foresight or Bushnell owner: price the maker’s Gold plan before GSPro.
  • Tight budget: add the cost of a PC to GSPro’s $250.

  • Awesome Golf: introductory pricing of $14.99 a month, $159.99 a year or $349.99 lifetime, with a 14-day trial, on iOS, Android, PC and Apple silicon Macs; the casual choice next to GSPro, owners say.
  • Garmin Home Tee Hero: Garmin’s simulator for R10 and R50 owners: $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, 43,000+ courses. Some owners call it cartoonish.
  • FSX Play: Foresight’s software; GSPro’s page lists it as a Foresight prerequisite.
  • The Golf Club 2019: 2K’s end date for its online modes was October 2025.

GSPro vs E6 FAQ

Is GSPro better than E6 Connect?

For most Windows PC owners, yes. E6 Connect wins on iPad and when your monitor bundles it.

Is E6 Apex the same as E6 Connect?

No. E6 Apex, now E6 (2026), is TruGolf’s newer Windows-only product; E6 Connect is the older PC and iPad app.

Does GSPro work on a Mac or iPad?

Not officially. GSPro runs on Windows only; some Mac owners use CrossOver at their own risk.

How much does GSPro cost, and is there a free trial?

$250 a year. GSPro’s page lists no free trial; a refund requested within 7 days of buying direct may be granted, minus $15.

Which E6 (2026) plan do you need?

Play ($300) for courses, Improve ($150) for practice tools, Enjoy ($450) for both.

Do you pay your launch monitor’s maker as well as GSPro?

For some brands, yes: Uneekor, Rapsodo, Bushnell and Foresight need their own plan or license first.

Which launch monitors come with E6 included?

Some FlightScope and Voice Caddie units include an E6 Connect license; course counts vary by model.

Does GSPro work with SkyTrak?

Not officially. SkyTrak isn’t on GSPro’s list, so owners use unofficial connectors.

Do you need a gaming PC for GSPro?

GSPro asks for an RTX 3060-class card for smooth 1080p; owners run it on less.

Can you play your local course?

Possibly. Search GSPro’s community courses, then E6’s on-demand list.

Final Thoughts

Start with the launch monitor you own. With a Windows PC, owners favor GSPro over E6 Connect; without one, E6 Connect keeps you playing.

Two things decide the buy under $1,000: your room front to back, and the software bill on top of the box. Where makers give both figures, radar units need 14 feet or more from the unit to the net, so a shorter room rules them out. A yearly plan plus GSPro, the PC golf program…
