Best Golf Simulator Software in 2026: GSPro, E6, Awesome Golf, Home Tee Hero and More

The best golf simulator software depends less on graphics than on two things you already own: your launch monitor and the device you’ll play on. Some programs don’t list every monitor, some monitor makers charge their own plan before outside software connects, and several of the biggest names run only on a Windows PC.

In a Nutshell

For most home simulator owners with a Windows gaming PC, GSPro at $250 a year is the best all-round pick. Without a gaming PC, Awesome Golf is the low-cost way to play courses on a tablet, phone or Mac, and Garmin R10 or R50 owners can start with Home Tee Hero at $99.99 a year.

👉 Check that the software lists your launch monitor before you compare courses: SkyTrak isn’t on GSPro’s list, and the E6 (2026) page doesn’t name Uneekor, Foresight or Bushnell.

Jargon, once:

  • Simulator software — the program that turns your launch monitor’s shot data into golf on a screen.
  • Connector — the link that sends shots from a launch monitor into the software.
  • GPU — the graphics card, which decides how smoothly courses run.
  • Lifetime license — pay once and keep using it.

Prices as read on 2–11 October 2026 and re-checked on 21 October 2026. They change often, so check before you buy.

Prices are US dollars before tax. GSPro, E6, Awesome Golf, Home Tee Hero and FSX Play were read on 11 October 2026; Trackman (prices excluding VAT) in August 2026.

How this was built: makers’ pages read in August and on 2 and 11 October 2026; owner and reviewer reports from Reddit and YouTube since 2020. Nothing here was tested hands-on.

What’s Changed

  • 1 October 2026: GSPro’s public beta moved to Physics 2.0, a new physics engine. It is still a beta, so treat the results as unproven.
  • 30 October 2025: 2K shut down online play for The Golf Club 2019. Offline features still work.

As of October 2026, TruGolf calls E6 Connect its previous-generation platform and recommends E6 (2026), formerly E6 Apex, for home setups. GSPro’s lifetime add-on is no longer sold.

Start With Your Launch Monitor and Your Device

Is your monitor listed?

  • GSPro officially lists 31 launch-monitor lines. SkyTrak isn’t one of them.
  • E6 (2026) says it works with 19 devices, but its page doesn’t name Uneekor, Foresight, Bushnell or SkyTrak.
  • Home Tee Hero works only with Garmin’s R10 and R50; FSX Play only with Foresight and Bushnell units.

Does your monitor’s maker charge first? Before GSPro connects:

  • Foresight units need FSX 2020 or FSX Play, per GSPro. Foresight’s own page says GSPro needs its Gold plan ($599 a year, read 2 October 2026); existing FSX licenses keep working.
  • The Bushnell Launch Pro needs a paid Gold plan.
  • Uneekor needs its Pro Package.
  • The Rapsodo MLM2PRO needs a Premium Membership.

Which device?

  • Windows PC: GSPro, E6 (2026), FSX Play and The Golf Club 2019 run only on Windows.
  • iPad or iPhone: E6 Connect, Awesome Golf and Home Tee Hero.
  • Mac: Awesome Golf, on Apple silicon Macs only.
  • Android or Chromebook: Awesome Golf.

Launch Monitor & Golf Simulation Software – Compatibility Guide for 2025

Launch Monitor Subscriptions Compared (2026): True Cost and No-Subscription Options

GSPro: Best for Most Windows PC Owners

  • Price: $250 a year, one plan for every monitor. No free trial is listed; a refund may be granted within 7 days of buying direct, minus a $15 fee.
  • Courses and play: 2,500+ community-built courses, downloaded through its course server, and up to 8 players local or online.
  • PC: Windows 10 or 11, with an RTX 3060-class graphics card and 16GB of memory for smooth 1080p. Owners report it running on older cards, though the newest detailed courses need far more.
  • Why owners pick it: value for money comes up again and again (14 reports from 12 owners and reviewers), along with ball flight that those who have used E6 or The Golf Club 2019 call more realistic.

GSPro vs E6 Connect (2026): Which Simulator Software Should You Buy?

Golf Simulator System Requirements in 2025 – Updated Reference Guide

E6 (2026) and E6 Connect: TruGolf’s Two Products

  • E6 (2026), formerly E6 Apex: Windows only, in three yearly plans. Improve ($150) covers practice tools without course play, Play ($300) covers 15,000+ on-demand courses, and Enjoy ($450) includes both. Minimum PC: Intel i7 10th Gen, 24GB of RAM and an RTX 3060 with 12GB.
  • What owners say about E6 (2026): its graphics draw strong praise, but from March 2024 to December 2025 owners also reported lag and a 30fps cap (23 reports from 12 owners).
  • E6 Connect: the older app, for a Windows PC, an iPad Pro Gen. 1 or newer, or an iPhone 8 or newer; its App Store listing says M1 devices are not supported. On iPad, Basic costs $250 a year for Rapsodo owners or $300 for FlightScope and Garmin, and Expanded costs $600. The Home license is $1,000 once, with 27 courses, for TruGolf APOGEE monitors.
  • Bundled keys: some launch monitors come with an E6 Connect product key.
  • iPad trade-off: owners and reviewers, in reports from 2020 to early 2023, rated E6 Connect’s iPad graphics below the PC version.

TruGolf’s pages checked state no free trial for either product.

Awesome Golf: Low-Cost Courses on Any Device

Awesome Golf costs $14.99 a month, $159.99 a year or $349.99 once for a lifetime license, with a 14-day free trial. The maker frames the pricing as an introductory offer, so it may change. One multi-platform license covers Windows PCs, Apple silicon Macs, iPads, iPhones, Android devices and Chromebooks.

Owners place it as the cheaper, more casual choice next to GSPro’s realism (12 reports from 10 owners).

Check its launch-monitor list first: from December 2025 to February 2026, owners described the official list as narrow (5 reports from 5 owners).

Garmin Home Tee Hero: For R10 and R50 Owners

Home Tee Hero is Garmin’s own simulator, and it works only with the Approach R10 and R50. On the R10 it runs as a companion app through the Garmin Golf app; on the R50 it is built into the monitor’s own screen. Garmin lists it with its Golf membership at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with more than 43,000 courses.

Owners call it a solid budget option for casual setups (5 reports from 5 owners and reviewers), though some report distances that run short or vary.

FSX Play, Trackman and The Golf Club 2019

  • FSX Play: Foresight’s software for its own and Bushnell’s units, from the GC3 and GCQuad to the Falcon and Launch Pro. It is a paid upgrade from FSX 2020, and Foresight doesn’t publish the price. It includes 25 courses and 2 ranges, with more than 300 others to buy, and runs only on Windows.
  • FSX Play costs: owners and reviewers often find its plans and per-course pricing expensive and confusing.
  • Trackman Performance Studio: sold on Trackman’s license store from $700 a year for Trackman iO and $1,100 a year for Trackman 4, excluding VAT. The Pebble Beach course pack is a $100-a-year add-on.
  • The Golf Club 2019: online play ended on 30 October 2025, while offline features still work on Windows. Many owners and reviewers have moved to GSPro (17 reports from 15 owners and reviewers).

  • Mac: Awesome Golf on an Apple silicon Mac.
  • Garmin R10 or R50, casual play: Home Tee Hero, then GSPro or Awesome Golf when you want more.
  • Foresight or Bushnell: FSX Play is the maker’s route; price the maker plan GSPro needs before switching.
  • SkyTrak: GSPro only through an unofficial connector, so check the compatibility guide first.
  • Beginner on a tight budget: Awesome Golf, or Home Tee Hero with an R10 or R50; both cost under $160 a year.
